Keepers of Hope

Dear Keepers of Hope,
Because of you, we were able to provide new socks (100 pair) to over 30 chronic homeless men and women over the past few months as temperatures began dropping below freezing. With your latest donation of 40 more pairs of socks, 10 hats, and 10 pairs of gloves, we can help another 10 to 15 chronic homeless individuals who are living on the streets stay warmer and healthier in the coming winter months.

While chronic homeless people mainly focus on finding a place to sleep at night during the winter, foot health is often overlooked. Wet or cold feet can cause serious problems. By having several pair of clean socks, they are better prepared to keep their feet healthy.

Socks are among the most needed items by homeless people, yet they are among the least donated. Without clean socks, San Angelo’s homeless population is constantly at risk of serious foot disease and in severe danger posed by the cold. Clean well-fitting socks are a vital part of keeping feet healthy.

Your impact is immediate and ongoing! Bless you.

Respectfully,
Rev. Scott L. Heiser
